K김치세계연대 워싱턴DC 김치축제 지난해에 이어 올해도 대박!
“Kimchi Day” is a legal commemorative day established in South Korea in 2020 with the aim of widely promoting South Korea as the leading nation in kimchi. Starting from 2021, various regions including California, Virginia, New York, Washington D.C, Michigan, Maryland, Georgia, Texas, Hawaii, Brazil, Argentina, and others have also designated November 22nd as “Kimchi Day.”
The reason behind choosing November 22nd as Kimchi Day is symbolically rooted in the fact that the various ingredients of kimchi (11) come together to exhibit over 22 different health beneficial effects.
“김치의 날”은 2020년에 한국에서 제정된 법정기념일로, 한국이 김치의 종주국임을 널리 알리기 위한 것입니다. 2021년 이후에는 캘리포니아를 시작으로 버지니아주, 뉴욕, 워싱턴 D.C, 미시간, 메릴랜드, 조지아, 텍사스, 하와이, 브라질, 아르헨티나 등에서도 11월 22일을 “김치의 날”로 지정하였습니다.
11월 22일을 김치의 날로 정한 이유는 김치의 재료 하나하나(11)가 모여 22가지 이상의 건강 기능성 효능을 발휘한다는 상징적인 의미가 담겨 있습니다.
